Developing a competitive brand for an upcoming restaurant
Kibbeh is a restaurant whose owners are of Lebanese ascendance. That’s the reason you'll certainly see quality and tradition in their menu. My mission was to portray that tradition in the development of the visual identity, using characteristic elements to that culture.
I established a color palette inspired by Arab architecture, monuments, and spices in contrast with typography inspired by elements of the culture’s characteristic handwriting and decoration.
I established some supportive graphic elements which reinforced the cultural traditions, having as inspiration some materials like marble, wood and geometrical lattice work.
To reinforce some of their cultural and traditional aspects, I used marble, wood, geometrical latticework, and other materials as inspiration to establish the graphic elements for support.
I was also responsible for photographing the restaurant’s dishes, for use in a diversity of materials for brand advertisement.
The use of color in contrast to the chosen typographies well reflects the cultural aspect of the brand, resulting in a complete visual identity with a strong appeal to Arab culture. The responsive logo and its lockouts are also easily adaptable to both print or digital media.
